The Piney Woods faculty, founded in 1909 by using Laurence C. Jones, is considered one of only four historically African-American boarding faculties in the United States of America. The Piney Woods U.S. Lifestyles College is a co-educational unbiased historically African-American boarding faculty for grades nine-12 in Piney Woods, unincorporated Rankin County, Mississippi. Its far 21 miles south of Jackson. Nowadays the curriculum at Piney Woods combines strict subject, Christian teaching, and chores with study room guidance. More than ninety-eight percent of Piney Woods' graduates move on to wait for faculties. It sits on 2,000 acres (eight.1 km2) of rolling hills, woodland, open fields and lakes.
