Since its foundation in 1874 as the first established girls’ school in the Woodard Corporation, Abbots Bromley School has existed in several different guises. Initially two separate schools, the school of S Mary and the school of S Anne, the two schools amalgamated in 1921 to develop into one sizeable school. The school’s crest, incorporating the dove and lily, unites the symbols of both schools. The school now takes its name from the picturesque and quintessentially English village in which it safely nestles.
Today the school educates girls (3-18) and boys (3-11 and 15-18) in our Preparatory and Senior Schools. We excel in educating in a wonderful co-educational day and boarding environment where students are able to focus on their strengths and rise to personal challenges within safe, spacious and comfortable surroundings.
The staff at Abbots Bromley School and International College are extremely supportive of the students in their care. They are dedicated to high quality teaching and nurturing unique talents. Teachers freely offer individual support outside of the classroom to enable all our young people to fulfil their ambitions. International students are supported with specialist English teaching. Learning Enrichment is available for those who need additional support and we have a full programme to stretch and challenge the most able.
Small class sizes ensure that every child is known well, each pupil benefits from a personal tutor who liaises carefully with teaching and residential staff to ensure that they are coping with their work and interacting happily with their peers.
